Terms of Service*
Acknowledgement:
At Custodian Groundskeeping (CGK), we recognize and respect the Traditional Custodians of Australia and their connections to the land, sea, and community. We honor their Elders, past and present, and extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Honesty & Integrity:
We promise to handle all our work with honesty and integrity. Our goal is to provide the best care for your outdoor spaces in an ethical manner.
Customer Service:
We believe everyone deserves respect and dignity, regardless of background. That’s why we strive to offer excellent customer service to everyone we work with.
Client Expectations:
We expect a mutual relationship where we treat each other with respect and dignity, just as we’d like to be treated.
Objective:
Our aim is to keep your property looking its best all year round—clean, tidy, and attractive.

Business Model:
As a family-run business with no employees, we focus on lawn and garden care, including pressure washing. We offer flexible service options, like fortnightly or monthly plans.
Estimates and Quotes:
After an on-site assessment, you’ll receive an estimate that could change based on the final details. We’ll send you a quote by email. You need to confirm your acceptance of the quote to proceed. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll follow up within 24 hours.
Rates:
- Residential Clients: Rates depend on the technician's skills, expertise, and equipment used.
- Commercial Clients: Rates are also based on these factors.
- Service Prices: Prices may change due to economic factors like inflation. We’ll let you know about any price increases.
Product & Material Prices:
Most products come from Bunnings, and we add a small markup for handling and delivery.
Invoice & Payment Conditions:
You’ll get an invoice via email on the day the service is completed. Payment is expected on the same day via bank transfer. We also accept bank cards or pre-payments, but card fees will be passed on to you.
Payment of Services Rendered:
Please inform us 24 hours in advance if there’s any issue with payment. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume payment will be made on the day of service as agreed.
Late Payment Management:
A late fee of $100 will be charged for each day an invoice is overdue. We’ll send daily reminders until payment is received. If not paid within 14 days, we’ll take legal action and you’ll be responsible for all related costs.
Complaints, Issues, and Enquiries:
If you have questions or issues, contact us 24 hours before services are scheduled to avoid misunderstandings. Once you accept the quote, you’re responsible for paying the invoice.
Weather Conditions:
Service schedules may change due to weather. We’ll notify you immediately if there are any changes.
Terms of Service Changes:
We may update our terms to improve our service. We’ll keep you informed of any changes.
Safety and Access:
- Safety: We prioritize safety and will not perform services if conditions are unsafe.
- Access: Ensure we have clear access to the areas where work will be performed. If access is restricted, additional charges may apply.
Cancellation Policy:
- Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less notice may incur a fee.
Property Damage:
- Responsibility: We take great care to avoid damage, but if any occurs due to our error, we will address it promptly. For any pre-existing issues, please let us know beforehand.

- Reviews: We welcome your feedback to help us improve. Feel free to share your experience with us.
Definitions
Definition: Custodian Groundskeeping as CGK*. CGK is a uniquely named business because we believe in taking responsibility for protecting or taking care of our clients outdoor spaces and keeping them in good condition.
Definition: The Terms of Service* are the legal agreements between a service provider "CGK" and a person who wants to use that service "Client".
Definition: A project is any undertaking, carried out individually or collaboratively and possibly involving research or design, that is carefully planned to achieve a particular goal.
Definition: Respect* & Dignity* means:
- Treating others with Care and Compassion
- Being polite and Courteous
- Privacy and Dignity Actively Respected
- Having their View Listened To and Taken into Consideration.
Definition: Estimate & Quotes means:
- An estimate is your rough guide to how much something will cost without having all the specifications or putting time into a quote. Unlike quotes, estimates are not legally binding. An estimate will usually include a disclaimer saying that the price is subject to change.
- An estimate is best used when a customer asks for an indication of the total price. Estimates can indicate the likely cost and scope of a job without committing to prices and terms.
- A quote is you agreeing on paper that you have all the information you need to prepare a well-planned and correctly calculated assessment, factoring in all of the specifics necessary to do the work.
- If the customer proceeds, then the quote forms part of a legally binding contract between you and the customer. If something goes wrong, and your customer takes legal action, the quote is the key document taken into consideration.
